Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Soul of the Southside (SOTS), a Juneteenth celebration honoring the resilience and cultural legacy of Foundational Black Americans. Set to take place on June 19th, this dynamic festival unfolds along 30th and Minnehaha Avenue in south Minneapolis.
Join us as we commemorate African American freedom at this open-street festival, nestled amidst the historic sites that bore witness to the flames of change during the 2020 uprising following the tragic murder of George Floyd.
Now entering its third year, the festival expands its footprint down Lake Street to the Historic Coliseum Building, serving as our Educational Plaza in 2024. Explore a dynamic celebration of Black history, art, cuisine, music, community healing, and Black-owned vendors, uniting our diverse community while centering Blackness at its core.
